The rehabilitation services offered by St. Luke Homes & Services, Inc. are provided by Millennium Therapy, Rehabilitation & Consulting Serivces, dba Millennium Therapy, an Iowa owned and operated therapy services company large enough to provide a stable relationship, yet small enough to give honest, true attention. The Millennium Therapy team at St. Luke Homes & Services, Inc. has the ability to react quickly to resident needs. Physical therapy is offered along with occupational and speech therapy services under arrangement via a number of licensed, highly trained, and experienced therapists and assistants. The Millennium Therapy division with St. Luke Homes & Services, Inc. develops a variety of specialty programs based on each client’s needs. These include, but are not limited to: dementia, osteoporosis, vision, women’s health, geriatric, occupational, massage, exercise, neuromuscular, orthopedic, lymphedema management, speech pathology, swallowing, restorative care, and Medicare part A and B services. Each Millennium Therapy staff member serving at the St. Luke campus is certified within his or her respective field, providing precise rehabilitation for each individual.
Carrie Sloan, DPT, CEEAA
Physical Therapist/Team Leader
Carrie has been with St. Luke Homes & Services, Inc. since October 2010.
She attended college at St. Scholastica located in Duluth, MN receiving her Master's in Physical Therapy in 1998. In 2006, Carrie graduated from Creighton University located in Omaha, Nebraska with a transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She then went on to further her education in May 2011 by completing the certification for Expert in Exercising the Aging Adult (CEEAA). Other additional training Carrie possesses include the following: Complete Decongestive Therapy for Lymphedema management, Osteoporosis, and women's health (urinary incontinence and pelvic pain).
Carrie has been working with the geriatric population in various settings since her 1998 graduation from St. Scholastica. In 2010, she moved into a full-time team leader position in addition to being a Physical Therapist for the St. Luke campus.
Ellen Engel
Speech Language Pathologist
Ellen started working at St. Luke Homes & Services in October 2017.
She was born in South Dakota and moved to Kansas when she was 12 years old. In 2015, she moved back to the great Northland and is living happily in Spencer.
Ellen received her Master’s Degree in 1982 from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. After 12 years working with mentally- and physically-challenged children, she embraced her passion of working with adults in acute rehabilitation, long term care and home health. She is well versed in working with swallowing disorders and with speech disorders related to stroke, Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
Dawn Feltner
Occupational Therapist
Dawn has been with St. Luke Homes & Services, Inc. since May 2011.
Dawn attended Central College located in Pella, IA where she received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology. She then went on to further her education at St. Catherine located in St. Paul, MN obtaining a Master’s of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy.
She has been working in Long Term Care for the majority of her career with experience in orthopedics, neuro, wheelchair positioning, vision, dementia care, mental health, and splinting/hand therapy.
Onica Jacobs
Occupational Therapist Assistant
Onica joined St. Luke Homes & Services in October 2017 as an occupational therapist.
She attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota, receiving her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Sciences. She then went on to the University of Minnesota in Rochester, Minnesota, to graduate with a Master’s of Occupational Therapy degree. Onica graduated in June 2017, and is excited to serve the Spencer and Hartley areas as a therapist. She appreciates having the opportunity to connect with each and every person while assisting them to achieve independence in the activities they need and want to do daily.
While not at work, Onica enjoys spending days at Lake Okoboji, playing basketball, watching comedy movies, spending time with her nieces and nephew, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball teams.
Melinda Talbot
Physical Therapy Assistant
Melinda has served at St. Luke Homes & Services, Inc. since April 2013, when she joined Millennium Therapy.
Originally from Texas, she moved from Minneapolis to Emmetsburg. Melinda earned her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, in 2006. She worked for the University of Minnesota Medical Center at Fairview in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and at West Bend Care Center in West Bend, Iowa, prior to joining the St. Luke campus.
When not at work, Melinda likes to camp, backpack, fish, hike and bicycle. She ran her first triathlon in 2012 and hopes to continue with this hobby.
Nate Seedorff
Physical Therapy Assistant
Nate joins us from Northeast Iowa, where he had previously worked for Millennium Therapy as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Nate received his therapy education from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, and graduated in the fall of 2019. He also has a Bachelor’s degree from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.
In his spare time, Nate enjoys cooking, building and playing games on computers, spending time with his dog, Lady, and playing with a tournament paintball team based out of Waterloo. Nate has a passion for working with the geriatric community and could not be more delighted to serve our community as he continues to grow and learn in his profession.
